The present invention relates to a method for producing a porous crosslinked cellulose membrane and a method for coupling a chromatography ligand to a crosslinked cellulose membrane. The present invention uses a membrane obtainable by the method of the present invention to separate the first component from the second component in solution based on the difference in size between the first component and the second component. It provides a method of performing, as well as a method of separating the target molecule from other components in the solution. Such a method is particularly useful when separating proteins from cell lysates and culture solutions. [Selection figure] None |
