Hepatitis C serine protease inhibitor and use thereof |
abstract |
The present invention provides novel compounds that mimic peptides comprising the second proline from the C-terminus, which compounds are protease inhibitors, in particular as serine protease inhibitors, and more particularly hepatitis C. It is useful as an inhibitor of NS3 cein protease derived therefrom. This compound is useful as an antiviral agent directed against hepatitis C. The invention further provides methods of using such inhibitors alone or in combination with other therapeutic agents to treat hepatitis C infection in a subject in need of such treatment. |
