abstract | The method of recovering the refolded protein includes the step of obtaining the refolded protein by statically mixing a concentrated solution of denatured protein and a refolding diluent. This method is particularly suitable for recombinant proteins produced by microorganisms in large throughputs. This denatured protein solution can be obtained by isolating proteins from a microbial host and exposing them to a denaturing agent. This solution is mixed with a suitable refolding diluent under static mixing conditions that are compatible with the proper folding of the protein, so that the refolded protein is preferably obtained quickly and in high yield. |
