titleOfInvention | Method for expressing a recombinant protein derived from a lentiviral vector |
abstract | Lentivector constructs for expression of recombinant proteins, polypeptides, or fragments thereof and methods for making them are described. Lentivectors usually have a self-processing cleavage sequence between the first and second protein or polypeptide coding sequences to allow expression of a functional protein or polypeptide under the operational control of a single promoter, May also include additional protein cleavage sequences that provide a means of removing the self-processing cleavage sequence from the expressed protein or polypeptide. Vector constructs find utility in methods related to improved in vitro and in vivo production of biologically active proteins such as immunoglobulins or fragments thereof. |
