titleOfInvention | Monoazole ligand platinum analogue |
abstract | Described herein is a novel platinum-based analog having a single substituted azole ligand: RN = NR 7 , wherein the RN = NR 7 functional group is covalently bonded to platinum through the nitrogen of NR 7 The body is disclosed. This analog also has a nitrogen donor ligand capable of forming hydrogen bonds with DNA or RNA bases, and one or more leaving groups that are replaced with water, hydroxide ions, or other nucleophiles. It is believed that the active species are formed in vivo and then a complex is formed between the nucleic acid strands, mainly between DNA (or RNA) purines (ie, guanine bases or adenine bases). These platinum analogs may also be more easily transported into tumor cells due to their increased lipophilicity and can potentially form platinum coordination complexes with intact or nascent DNA or RNA. Modulates DNA synthesis or replication or transcription or RNA translation or function as an anti-neoplastic agent and in vitro or in vivo, thereby preventing cellular synthesis, transcription or replication of nucleic acid polynucleotides Seems useful in hindering. |
