abstract | Disclosed is a mold technique that contributes to the improvement of quality stability and productivity in a casting process such as die casting in a semi-solid or semi-molten state of an iron-based alloy such as cast iron. In a casting method in a semi-molten or semi-solid state of an iron-based alloy, disulfide excellent in lubricity, heat shielding properties, and mold release properties is formed on a part or all of the innermost surface of the mold. Applying a lubricant release agent in which particles composed of one or more of molybdenum, graphite, tungsten disulfide, boron nitride, chromium oxide and boron oxide are dispersed in a solvent, and using the mold Cast.
