【Task】 Provided are a dielectric ceramic exhibiting a high dielectric constant and a stable relative dielectric constant temperature characteristic, and a capacitor using the dielectric ceramic. [Solution] A dielectric ceramic having crystal grains mainly composed of barium titanate and a grain boundary phase formed between the crystal grains, wherein magnesium, gadolinium, It contains at least one rare earth element (RE) selected from terbium, dysprosium, holmium and erbium, manganese in a predetermined ratio in terms of oxide, and ytterbium is an oxide with respect to 100 parts by mass of barium titanate. It contains in a predetermined ratio in conversion, and the average particle diameter of crystal grains is 0.05 to 0.2 μm. Further, by applying the dielectric ceramic as a dielectric layer, it is possible to form a capacitor having a high capacity and stable capacitance-temperature characteristics. [Selection] Figure 2 |
