abstract |
A lubricant composition having excellent flame retardancy and fire resistance is provided. SOLUTION: A liquid lubricating oil or semi-solid lubricant contains tribasic calcium phosphate as a fire resistance / flame retardancy imparting agent to form a lubricant composition. This tricalcium phosphate is preferably used in an amount of 0.1 to 60% by mass based on the total composition. This lubricant composition is excellent in flame retardancy and fire resistance, and tricalcium phosphate has almost no adverse effect on the ecosystem, so it can be used widely in various fields.
