abstract |
The present invention provides an industrial process for producing α-fluoro-β-amino acids. Α-Fluoro-β-amino acids can be produced by reacting β-hydroxy-α-amino acids with sulfuryl fluoride (SO 2 F 2 ) in the presence of an organic base. . By using tertiary amines having 2 or more alkyl groups having 8 to 12 carbon atoms and 3 or more carbon atoms, especially diisopropylethylamine as an organic base, the by-product of quaternary ammonium salt is effective. Can be suppressed. By applying the production method of the present invention, (2R) -3- (dibenzylamino) -2-fluoropropionic acid methyl ester, which is extremely important as a pharmaceutical intermediate, is remarkably industrially produced with high regioselectivity.
