titleOfInvention | Method for producing porous polymer particles |
abstract | In the production of porous particles by suspension polymerization, the porous particles are easily separated from the reaction solvent containing the porous particles by filtration separation so as not to contain impurities at a low cost, and are porous. A method for obtaining fine particles is provided. According to the present invention, a monomer mixture mainly composed of an aromatic vinyl monomer and an aromatic divinyl monomer is dissolved in an organic solvent together with a polymerization initiator to form a monomer solution. In a suspension polymerization system in which the above is dispersed in water containing a dispersing agent and sodium nitrite, and the above monomer is subjected to suspension polymerization to produce porous copolymer fine particles, which are separated by filtration using a filter medium. In the method for producing porous copolymer particles, a method is provided wherein sodium nitrite is contained in the water in an amount of 0.005 to 0.1 mg per 1 g of water.
