abstract | [PROBLEMS] To cope with a process for reducing the diameter of an electrophotographic photosensitive member and a process having a high peripheral speed, and having high sensitivity and high response in a long wavelength range, and even after repeated use at high speed, the initial potential and after repeated use. Provided are an electrophotographic photosensitive member capable of forming a high-quality image without being restricted by the use environment, and an image forming apparatus using the electrophotographic photosensitive member. A photosensitive layer containing at least a charge generating agent, a charge transporting agent, and a binder resin on a support, wherein the charge generating agent is hydroxygallium phthalocyanine, and the charge transporting agent is triphenylamine.
