titleOfInvention Hybrid vehicle
abstract In a hybrid vehicle in which an EHC is provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, electric power is supplied to the EHC as efficiently as possible. An ECU 110 controls a second inverter 66 so as to drive a second MG 30 in a sine wave control mode or a rectangular wave control mode. The EHC 100 is configured to be able to electrically heat a catalyst for purifying exhaust gas or exhaust gas introduced into the catalyst. EHC 100 is electrically connected between neutral point N1 of first MG 20 and neutral point N2 of second MG 30 via relay 102. Then, when the second MG 30 is driven in the rectangular wave control mode, power is supplied to the EHC 100 using the potential fluctuation at the neutral point N2 of the second MG 30.
