abstract | Kind Code: A1 The present invention relates to a method in which base particles on which inorganic fine particles are wet-attached are screened with a screen in a slurry state, so that even a highly chargeable toner can be screened without causing aggregation due to charging. Provided is a toner production method that enables removal of coarse powder slightly larger than a target particle size. A method for producing an image forming toner comprising attaching inorganic fine particles to the surface of a toner base particle containing at least a binder resin and a colorant, wherein the inorganic fine particle A is attached to the surface of the toner base particle by at least a wet process. An inorganic fine particle wet adhesion treatment step, and a particle size distribution adjustment step of adjusting the particle size distribution of the toner base particles, the particle size distribution adjustment step comprising the step of subjecting the aqueous medium slurry to the inorganic fine particle wet adhesion treatment step.
