abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a colored photosensitive composition for a color filter which is excellent in sensitivity and developability and excellent in color reproducibility after curing even at a high pigment concentration. A colored photosensitive composition for a color filter comprising at least a binder resin, a polyfunctional monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, a pigment, a pigment dispersant, and a solvent, wherein the photopolymerization initiator is at least specified. The total amount of the biimidazole compound and the mercapto compound is in the range of 3 to 40 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the solid content of the colored photosensitive composition. And the content of the biimidazole compound is in the range of 60 to 99 parts by weight with respect to a total of 100 parts by weight of the biimidazole compound and the mercapto compound.
