The present invention provides an electrochemical device capable of improving sealing performance between a laminated body and a sealing body that accommodates the laminated body, and adopting a sealing means with high productivity and reliability. The electrochemical device 10 includes a unit laminate including a pair of electrodes 13 and a separator 15 interposed between the electrodes, and a single laminate or a plurality of laminates. The pair of electrodes 13 and 13 includes an overlapping region 16 of each electrode and a lead portion 17 protruding from the overlapping region 16. The lead portions 17 of the electrodes 13 and 13 are connected to the corresponding terminal electrodes 18 and 18, respectively, and the sealing body 20 is provided with openings 23 and 23 at positions corresponding to the terminal electrodes 18 and 18, respectively. The inner peripheral edge of the opening 23 is joined to the terminal electrode 18, and a part of the terminal electrode 18 is led out from the opening 23 to form a terminal portion.
