abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film having improved mechanical properties and excellent mechanical strength in a gas barrier film mainly composed of a flat pigment. A gas barrier film comprising a flat pigment and at least one resin selected from a polyamide polyurea resin, a polyamidoamine polyurea resin, a polyamine polyurea resin, and a polyamide polyamine polyurea resin. The gas barrier film, wherein the flat pigment is at least one selected from water-swellable natural mica or synthetic mica. The method for producing a gas barrier film according to claim 1, wherein an aqueous coating composition obtained by mixing an aqueous dispersion of a flat pigment and an aqueous resin solution is coated on a process film, dried, and then peeled off from the process film.
