abstract | A method for producing a piperidin-3-ylcarbamate compound is provided. In the presence of a palladium catalyst, the formula (1) (In the formula, R represents a benzyl group or an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms.) Formula (2) in which a pyridin-3-ylcarbamate compound represented by formula (2) is brought into contact with hydrogen (In the formula, R represents the same meaning as described above.) The manufacturing method of the piperidin-3-yl carbamate compound shown by these. The obtained piperidin-3-ylcarbamate compound represented by the formula (2) can be optically resolved using optically active tartaric acid or optically active mandelic acid.
