The present invention relates to a lithographic printing plate precursor capable of making a plate directly from digital data such as a computer by recording using a solid-state laser that emits ultraviolet light and visible light and semiconductor laser light, particularly on an aqueous solution having a pH of less than 10 or a printing press. Provided are a simple processing type lithographic printing plate precursor capable of developing high printing durability and good stain resistance, and a method for making a lithographic printing plate using the original plate. An image forming layer containing (a) a hydrophilic polymer, (b) a polymerizable compound, (c) a polymerization initiator, (d) an acid crosslinking agent, and (e) an acid generator on a support. After the lithographic printing plate precursor having protective layers in this order is image-exposed with a laser, the protective layer and the non-exposed portion of the photosensitive layer are removed by an automatic processor in the presence of a developer having a pH of 2 to 10. A lithographic printing plate making method and an original plate are provided. [Selection figure] None |
