abstract |
To provide a gas sensor and a gas detection method capable of detecting at least one of the amount and concentration of nitrogen oxide or sulfur oxide contained in a gas. When the air-fuel ratio is lean, NOx or SOx in the gas is trapped in the catalyst, and then the trapped NOx or SOx is reduced by switching the air-fuel ratio of the gas brought into contact with the catalyst to stoichiometric or rich. The amount of NOx and SOx in the lean gas is measured by detecting the heat generated during the operation. [Selection] Figure 8 |
