abstract | Disclosed is a retardation film having excellent retardation due to stretching, a small photoelastic coefficient, a small birefringence wavelength dependency, and a small birefringence temperature dependency. A film comprising 100 to 50 parts by weight of a syndiotactic propylene polymer (A) and 0 to 50 parts by weight of a propylene / α-olefin copolymer (B). Here, the component (A) is a propylene polymer containing 90 to 100 mol% of propylene units and 0 to 10 mol% of one or more units selected from ethylene and an α-olefin having 4 to 20 carbon atoms. The following requirements [1] and [2] are satisfied, and [1] the fraction (rrrr) measured by 13 C-NMR is 85% or more. [2] The amount of n-decane soluble part is 1 (wt%) or less. Component (B) is a propylene-based polymer containing 50 to 100 mol% of propylene units and 0 to 50 mol% of one or more units selected from ethylene and an α-olefin having 4 to 20 carbon atoms.
