PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and continuously producing a polyester as a raw material for a film having less fish eyes. A continuous production method for obtaining a polyester mainly composed of a dicarboxylic acid and a diol through an esterification reaction step, a melt polycondensation reaction step and an extrusion step using a plurality of continuous reaction vessels, A radical trapping agent is added to the polycondensation reaction product from the last reaction vessel outlet in the polycondensation reaction step to the last reaction vessel outlet in the extrusion step.
