abstract A PET / MRI integrated apparatus capable of obtaining a high-quality composite image is provided. An integrated PET / MRI apparatus includes an MRI unit and a PET unit. The MRI unit 12 includes a pair of plate yokes 18a and 18b arranged to face each other via a gap G, a pair of permanent magnets 20a and 20b provided on the pair of plate yokes 18a and 18b so as to face each other, and A support yoke 22 for magnetically coupling the plate yokes 18a, 18b is included. The PET unit 14 includes a radiation detection unit 32 having a scintillator 42, a light guide unit 34 having a light guide 50, and a light detection unit 36 having a PSPMT 54. The PSPMT 54 is disposed in the accommodation space S3 in the shield case 52 provided on the other main surface 22b of the support yoke 22.
