abstract | The present invention provides a heat-sensitive recording material having excellent color development sensitivity, light resistance, and excellent storage stability of a background portion. A heat-sensitive recording material is provided with a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting developer on a support, and a laser diffraction type is provided on the heat-sensitive recording layer. A heat-sensitive recording material comprising a light stabilizer having a particle size distribution (volume basis) measured by a particle size distribution measuring device of 50% diameter of 0.5 μm or less and 90% diameter of 1.2 μm or less.
