abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a durable optical plastic article using a dielectric multilayer film as a dielectric thin film. A dielectric multilayer film composed of alternating layers of SiO 2 and ZrO 2 is directly formed on a polycarbonate substrate. At this time, the layer in contact with the substrate is preferably not SiO 2 . Then, a protective film mainly composed of an acrylic urethane resin covering the dielectric multilayer film is formed on the upper layer of the dielectric multilayer film.
