titleOfInvention Natural zeolite for adsorption of ammonia with sulfate groups and its production method
abstract An adsorbent capable of selectively removing ammonia includes zeolite having a specific structure, but its adsorbing power and adsorption capacity are not necessarily sufficient. Therefore, a method is provided in which these zeolites are modified to improve the adsorption capacity, enhance the adsorption power and increase the adsorption capacity, and further provide selective adsorption of ammonia. A zeolite that selectively adsorbs gaseous ammonia is selected, and the surface of the zeolite is modified with a compound such as phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid that easily binds to ammonia to form phosphate groups or sulfate groups. As a result, ammonia is adsorbed by both the pores of the zeolite and the sulfate groups, and the adsorption power is improved and the adsorption capacity is increased. By carrying such a new ammonia adsorbing material on the filter, an inexpensive material that directly adsorbs and removes gaseous ammonia can be supplied. [Selection] Figure 10
