titleOfInvention | Organic electroluminescent device manufacturing method, organic EL display, and organic EL lighting |
abstract | In an organic electroluminescent device manufacturing method in which an organic layer between electrodes is formed by a wet film forming method, an organic electroluminescent device having a stable luminance with few short circuits is manufactured. After the film formation step by the wet film formation method, when the angle θ between the upper surface of the organic layer and the horizontal plane when the upper surface of the formed organic layer faces downward parallel to the horizontal plane, The organic layer is stored such that the upper surface thereof is at an angle θ of 0 ° to 100 ° with respect to the horizontal plane. After the wet film formation, the organic layer from which the solvent has been removed by heating and drying has a large number of voids inside the film, and structural relaxation at the molecular level occurs during the storage period. At that time, if the film formation surface is faced upward, the film surface tends to be depressed toward the void region inside the film along with the structural relaxation. As a result, the flatness of the film formation surface is impaired. The manufactured device may cause uneven luminance of light emission and a decrease in life, but according to the present invention, this problem is avoided. [Selection] Figure 1 |
