abstract A non-aqueous metal-air battery that effectively prevents deterioration of a metal negative electrode due to moisture in the air is provided. In a lithium-air battery, a lithium negative electrode and an oxygen positive electrode are disposed in a non-aqueous electrolyte solution, and metal lithium is oxidized to lithium ions at the lithium negative electrode during discharge and air is discharged from the oxygen positive electrode. The oxygen inside is reduced to oxygen ions. An oxygen pump 32 is attached to a cover 30 that forms a positive electrode chamber 28 that is a sealed space. Since the oxygen pump 32 can electrochemically pump oxygen in the air outside the positive electrode chamber 28 to the inside of the positive electrode chamber 28, the discharge reaction proceeds and the oxygen concentration in the positive electrode chamber 28 decreases. Can supply oxygen in the air by the oxygen pump 28. Here, since the positive electrode chamber 28 is surrounded by the moisture impermeable cover 30 and the dense solid electrolyte 34, moisture in the air does not enter the positive electrode chamber 28.
