abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an intraocular illumination which can be used as illumination light even when a laser light source having retinal phototoxicity is provided by performing a process for lowering the irradiation light intensity at an irradiation site, thereby enabling efficient and reliable fundus examination. A tip portion of a cylindrical body made of quartz glass or plastic that transmits laser light is inserted into an eyeball of a subject's eye, and laser light is irradiated through the tip portion of the body. In the intraocular illumination probe that illuminates the inside of the eyeball, a diffused light irradiating unit that irradiates the diffused light of the laser light with a uniform luminous intensity is provided on the fundus at the distal end of the main body.
