titleOfInvention Method for producing cobalt sulfate aqueous solution, method for producing cobalt compound
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a cobalt sulfate aqueous solution having a very low Fe content, and to obtain a high purity cobalt compound which is a precursor of lithium cobaltate for a secondary battery. SOLUTION: After adding hydrogen peroxide to a cobalt sulfate solution, an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution is added while ventilating oxygen, and the reaction solution is stirred while maintaining the pH in the range of 5.0 to 6.0. This is a method for producing an aqueous cobalt sulfate solution in which Fe content is reduced by generating a precipitate and filtering the precipitate. [Selection figure] None
