abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a simple method for changing at least one of the absorbance and light emission characteristics of glass and capable of meeting on-demand requirements without forming irregularities on the glass surface. After a silver-containing solution is applied to the glass surface by an ink jet method, a silver component is introduced into the glass by heat-treating the coating film, and the absorbance and light emission characteristics of the glass in the portion into which the silver component has been introduced are introduced.
