abstract |
The present invention provides a novel method for homogeneous synthesis of cellulose ether. A step of dissolving cellulose in a solvent comprising an ionic liquid; a step of forming cellulose ether by adding at least one etherifying agent to the solution in the absence of an inorganic base; and the reaction. Adding the mixture to the non-solvent for the cellulose ether obtained in the etherification reaction, thereby precipitating the cellulose ether, separating the cellulose ether, and purifying the cellulose ether A method for producing cellulose ether. The resulting cellulose ether exhibits a novel substituent distribution on the polymer chain and provides novel properties and uses. [Selection figure] None |
