abstract The present invention relates to a urine component analyzing apparatus and method for measuring the concentration of a component contained in urine, and more specifically, using an attenuated total reflection infrared spectroscopy. In addition, the present invention relates to a urine component analyzer and method for measuring the concentration of components contained in urine. A seat-type toilet having a concave or planar urine collection unit, a piping unit for guiding urine collected from the urine collection unit to an analysis unit, and a component of urine guided through the piping unit are analyzed. The urine collection unit is formed on the inner front surface of the seat-type toilet, the analysis unit includes an ATR, and the analysis unit is directly attached to the seat-type toilet.
