A series of techniques for easily screening for a compound that specifically binds to an ionotropic glutamate receptor is provided. Provided is a fusion protein comprising a protein having a molecular chaperone activity or a subunit thereof linked to the N-terminal side or C-terminal side of an ionotropic glutamate receptor and having a ligand binding activity.
