Pregnancy-related plasma in serum for diagnosis of all stages of inflammatory symptoms, especially acute coronary syndromes (unstable angina, acute myocardial infarction, sudden cardiac death, coronary plaque rupture or thrombosis) Utilizes protein (PAPP-A) levels. The level of PAPP-A in a biological sample is measured by immunoassay using an antibody specific for PAPP-A. As diagnostic images, positron emission tomography, γ-scintigraphy, single photon emission tomography analysis, magnetic resonance imaging, intravascular ultrasound or functional nuclear magnetic resonance imaging are used.
