An apparatus for measuring a terahertz wave that can obtain spectral information (amplitude information of each frequency component, intensity information for each frequency (wavelength)) from the time waveform without performing Fourier transform on the time waveform. Provided. A dispersion unit 103 for chirping a terahertz wave 104 generated from a generation unit 101 is provided. The terahertz wave waveform information chirped by the dispersion unit 103 is detected by the detection unit 102.
