A high-refractive-index metal oxide transparent dispersion capable of producing a transparent resin composite having a high refractive index and high transparency, and a composite of a high-refractive-index metal oxide fine particle and a resin. Thus, a transparent resin composite having both a high refractive index and high transparency, and an optical lens using the transparent resin composite are provided. The high refractive index metal oxide transparent dispersion of the present invention is a metal oxide having a surface modified with an organic acid, an average dispersed particle diameter of 1 nm or more and 20 nm or less, and a refractive index of 1.8 or more. Fine particles and a dispersion medium were contained, and the mass ratio of the organic acid in the modified portion on the surface of the metal oxide fine particles was set to 5% by mass or more and 100% by mass or less of the metal oxide fine particles.
