titleOfInvention | Method for producing glycolide and glycolic acid oligomer for glycolide production |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing glycolide in which glycolic acid oligomer is heated and depolymerized so that the depolymerization reaction can be carried out stably and efficiently even if the depolymerization reaction is repeated. SOLUTION: (i) A depolymerization reaction system including a glycolic acid oligomer and a high-boiling polar organic solvent is heated to depolymerize the oligomer to glycolide, and (ii) the generated glycolide and polar organic solvent are depolymerized. (Iii) recovering glycolide from the distillate, and (iv) continuously or intermittently charging the oligomer and polar organic solvent into the depolymerization reaction system to carry out the depolymerization reaction. , (V) a compound having a high-boiling alcoholic hydroxyl group (A) in the depolymerization reaction system, and the total amount of carboxyl groups of the organic acid (B) consisting of diglycolic acid, methoxyacetic acid and oxalic acid The amount of alcoholic hydroxyl group (A) is controlled to be maintained at 0.5 equivalents or more and less than 1.0 equivalents.
