abstract An object of the present invention is to provide an imaging apparatus capable of adjusting the amount of light incident on an imaging element and an observation optical system as necessary. In an imaging apparatus having an imaging element, an observation optical system, an optical path switching unit, and an opening, the optical path switching unit has a light control mirror surface with variable transmittance.
