titleOfInvention | Process for producing aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid |
abstract | Conventionally, when an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid is produced, the reaction is generally carried out by using an aromatic hydroxy compound as a raw material as an alkali metal salt such as sodium. However, in such a production method, since the raw material is an alkali metal salt, it is necessary to separate the alkali metal and the aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid after the reaction is completed. In view of the above problems, the present invention provides the following method for producing an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid. That is, an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid is produced without using a solvent or an alkali metal by reacting an aromatic hydroxy compound and a basic catalyst such as calcium carbonate with carbon dioxide in a supercritical fluid state. Thereby, it becomes possible to suppress the separation operation of the product from the alkali metal and the solvent as much as possible. [Selection] Figure 4 |
