abstract |
In consideration of a medium such as a resin covering the periphery of phosphor particles, a wavelength conversion member having improved dispersibility of the phosphor particles in the medium is provided. Moreover, in the wavelength conversion member, the dispersibility of the phosphor particles is controlled and combined with a semiconductor light emitting element to provide a light emitting device having good light emission efficiency without color unevenness. A wavelength conversion member comprising: a composite phosphor in which the surface of phosphor particles is coated with coating material particles, and the average particle diameter of the coating material particles is 1/10 or less of the average particle diameter of the phosphor particles.
