abstract | [PROBLEMS] In an oily wood protective paint whose solvent is oily, even when an aromatic solvent or the like that generates an irritating odor to a bad odor at the time of volatilization is used, without the need for solvent replacement. Provided is a wood coating composition that does not have an irritating odor to foul odor and has a refreshing fragrance, and improves the coating environment. SOLUTION: In a wood coating composition using a synthetic resin and an additive and an oily solvent containing a solvent component having an irritating odor or malodor such as toluene or xylene, limonene is used as the solvent component of the composition.
