abstract | An object of the present invention is to form a plating catalyst or a precursor receptive layer thereof having excellent adhesion to a metal film formed by plating and smoothness of a resin-metal interface, high film formation sensitivity, and good suitability for production. Provided are a photosensitive resin composition for plating, and a method for producing a substrate with a metal layer, which can easily form a substrate with a metal layer excellent in adhesion between the metal layer and the substrate with low energy. A functional group that forms a coordination bond with a plating catalyst or a precursor thereof, a polymer having a polymerizable group, and a polyfunctional monomer having at least two polymerizable groups in the molecule.
