titleOfInvention Tandem time-of-flight mass spectrometry
abstract The present invention provides a new TOF / TOF measurement method that overcomes the shortcomings of conventional TOF / TOF measurement methods. When a plurality of isotope ions are selected one by one with an ion gate and cleaved to measure product ions, the first time-of-flight mass spectrometer has the same time of flight for each isotope ion. The acceleration voltage of the time-of-flight mass spectrometer and / or the setting voltage of the time-of-flight ion optical system are finely adjusted so that the time of flight can be passed. The first step of acquiring each product ion spectrum at the same time, and superimposing the acquired product ion spectra derived from each isotope ion at the same time of flight to synthesize the entire product ion spectrum A second step of converting the time-of-flight axis of the synthesized product ion spectrum into a mass axis.
