abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an electrophotographic photosensitive member capable of stably forming an image with excellent sensitivity characteristics and high resolution. An electrophotographic photosensitive member provided with a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate, the electrophotographic photosensitive member being writable by light having an oscillation wavelength in a wavelength range of 360 to 420 nm. The layer contains a crystalline form of oxotitanyl phthalocyanine, which has a maximum diffraction peak at a Bragg angle (2θ ± 0.2 °) of 9.4 ° or 9.7 ° in the X-ray diffraction spectrum.
