abstract To elucidate the control functions of stromin molecules to important functional molecules such as sensory sensors and ion channels, we produce crystals of stromatin and use them to clarify the three-dimensional structure of stromatin. A deletion mutant comprising a soluble core domain of stromatin is obtained while retaining the homotrimeric structure of the stromatin, a crystal of the mutant is prepared, X-ray diffraction is performed, and stromatin is obtained from atomic coordinates.
