abstract | To elucidate the control functions of stromin molecules to important functional molecules such as sensory sensors and ion channels, we produce crystals of stromatin and use them to clarify the three-dimensional structure of stromatin. A deletion mutant comprising a soluble core domain of stromatin is obtained while retaining the homotrimeric structure of the stromatin, a crystal of the mutant is prepared, X-ray diffraction is performed, and stromatin is obtained from atomic coordinates.
