PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical system having an antireflection effect with good wavelength band characteristics and good incident angle characteristics, and with less flare and ghosting. In an optical system having in a light path at least one portion where a convex lens surface and a concave lens surface are opposed to each other via air, either one of the convex lens surface and the concave lens surface of the at least one portion. Alternatively, an antireflection microstructure having a plurality of fine concavo-convex structures having an average pitch of 400 nm or less is formed on both light beam effective portions.
