Tumor-specific recombinant antibodies and uses thereof |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: There is a need for an antibody that binds to a cancer-specific marker and has low immunogenicity when administered to humans. Further, there is a need in the art for antibodies that selectively kill tumor cells by delivering toxins or immunostimulatory components, such as fusion proteins or immunoconjugates, to cancer-specific markers. A recombinant KS antibody is provided in which the amino acid sequence defining one or more framework regions and / or complementarity determining regions has been modified to reduce its immunogenicity.
