titleOfInvention Method for forming fine particles and method for inspecting biological material using the fine particles
abstract An effective method for forming modified fine particles is provided. Gold is deposited at a predetermined thickness on the surface of a substrate on which fine particles are fixed in a single layer. On the other hand, a particle fixing solution using a material for suppressing electrostatic repulsion between fine particles such as 1-ethyl-3 (3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimidehydrochloride (commonly known as EDC), NaCl, or KCl is prepared. A fine particle is fixed on the surface of the substrate on which gold is vapor-deposited to a predetermined thickness by applying it as a particle suspension mixed with the fine particles on the substrate. Further, the modified fine particles are formed by depositing a transition metal, a metal or a semiconductor on the surface of the fine particles fixed to the single layer. In order to peel the modified fine particles from the substrate, the ultrasonic wave is applied to the substrate using an ultrasonic cleaning device or the like to promote peeling. When the modified fine particle is modified with a biological functional molecule and used as a label for the inspection of biological material, reflected electrons from the modified fine particle are used.
