abstract | A toner transport roller capable of securing a sufficient density, particularly in the initial stage of printing, and an image forming apparatus using the toner transport roller. A conductive elastic layer 3 is supported on an outer periphery of a shaft 1 with an adhesive layer 2 interposed therebetween, and the conductive elastic layer 3 is a toner conveying roller made of urethane foam. The roller resistance when 100 V is applied is 10 5 Ω or less, preferably 10 4.5 Ω or less, and the roller resistance when 5 V is applied is 10 6 to 10 8 Ω. The adhesive layer 2 is preferably made of a hot-melt polymer adhesive and formed at a temperature not higher than the melting point of the hot-melt polymer adhesive. [Selection] Figure 1 |
