abstract | A method for producing a porous resin body having portions with different average cell diameters is provided. The liquid raw materials D 1 and D 2 are polymer dopes containing a thermoplastic polyurethane resin, a water-soluble polymer compound, and an oxygen-containing / nitrogen organic solvent containing an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom in the molecule. Contacting an extraction solution consisting of hydrophilic organic catalyst, an oxygen-containing / nitrogen organic solvent of the liquid feedstock D 1, D 2 and extracted by liquid-liquid extraction, to solidify the liquid material D 1, D 2. After the liquid raw materials D 1 and D 2 are solidified, the solidified product is demolded, and then the solidified product is contacted with water to form a water-soluble polymer compound, a hydrophilic organic catalyst, and a remaining oxygen-containing / nitrogen organic solvent.
